The Quick-Release Method: Our monofin is designed to stay securely on your feet but can be quickly removed in or out of the water. Step 1: Pull one foot out of the monofin by pushing away from the monofin with the other foot. Step 2: Use your free foot to push the monofin away completely, then kick off the monofin. Step 3: Pull the tail below your hips and swim out. Easy as that!

The Fin Fun Family Legacy: In 2009, a grandmother fulfilled her granddaughter's wish for a mermaid tail! Since then, Fin Fun has provided quality mermaid tails to Mers around the world and each year donates generously to children's causes.

Today, Fin Fun continues to be owned and operated by many members of the Browning family, with Grandma Karen and her husband Jerry still actively involved. It's an ever-growing family enterprise, still located in Idaho Falls, Idaho, providing employment and support for their local community.

Are Fin Fun Mermaid Tails Made in America? All Mermaid Tails sold on are proudly designed in Idaho. Our Elite and custom tail lines are made by us in Idaho Falls. For our other lines, we work with a network of international manufacturers, each of whom must meet our strict quality standards.

How do I know if my child is ready for a mermaid tail and monofin? We are very passionate about creating the safest products possible. As a general rule, we recommend children wait until they are at least 6 years old AND a strong swimmer to swim in one of our mermaid tails, however adult supervision is a must!

Why are Fin Fun's tails open at the bottom? We have designed our mermaid tails to be open at the bottom to make it easy to put on and pull off the monofin inside the mermaid tail. This helps keep your mermaid safe while swimming, as the monofin can be easily removed.
